Create Primitive Crows: A Fun DIY Tutorial
=============================================
Create primitive crows with this easy DIY tutorial. I will show you how to make a unique primitive crow using a pattern from my creator's blog. It's a fun and frugal way to enjoy some creative fabric crafts this season. You can use your scrap fabric and black fabric for a special handmade touch.
Downloading the Pattern
Right-click on the photo to download the pattern. Remember to resize it as you desire. Use Freezer Paper to trace your pattern onto the fabric. This paper is reusable. You can find Freezer Paper in the paper aisle of the grocery store. It's a Reynolds Wrap brand product with a plastic coating, allowing you to reuse it multiple times.
Ironing the Pattern
Watch the video to see how to iron the pattern onto the fabric using your standard iron.

Step-by-Step Instructions
First, print off the pattern and trace it onto the freezer paper.
Press the freezer paper pattern with a clothing iron on dry heat (no steam) onto the fabric.
Cut out two pieces.
Stitch the pieces together with a sewing machine, hand stitch, or glue.
Be sure to leave the underbelly area open for filling with poly fill. If you are using a branch to insert into the crow, this area will be glued closed when you place the branch or stick inside using hot melt glue.
Filling and Finishing the Crow
Turn the crow inside out and fill it with poly fill.
Insert the branch into the opening and glue it closed with hot melt glue.
Be sure to coat the tip of the stick down one inch with hot melt glue before inserting it into the primitive stuffed crow.
Apply hot melt glue to the opening to glue it shut and ensure that the branch remains anchored inside the crow.
Now, it's time to adorn and style your crow(s)!
